Seadrift, TX Wading or POC Jetties; 10/13-10/14/07 - 10/15/17 12:45 AM

Yesterday this crew had fun fighting some hard pulling bull reds at the POC jetties. It started off a little slow and kind of frustrating, cause we would either loose one during the battle or break them off. Finally about mid day the guys found a rhythm and landed 11 bulls between 42-46.5 inches.

Change of plans this morning, we were going to head to the rocks, but since the wife couldn't make it we decided to wade. Tide is still up a bit, but the trout were still holding over knee to thigh deep sand pockets. Topwatersand Strawberry Wine was the bait of choice with Waterloo Rods, and Fins braid we saw trout action all day up to 23". Had one school of redfish bust the surface in front of us, but turned the wrong way. With a little cooler weather coming and water temps dropping a bit, I know the bite will only get better!

With cooler temps on the way, and water temps dropping slightly, it's going to be a good rest of the month. I am excited about this Fall, coming out of an amazing summer with good rains and a couple floods our bay has been flushed and replenished with bait. Come on down and let's go fishing in November or December. We are also still taking booking for our Port Mansfield Trophy Trout Packages, this is an experience you won't want to miss!
