Great summer day on the bay

Great summer day on the bay - 07/12/17 02:42 AM

I got off work a little early today so I decided to load up the hobie and head to the marsh. with the summer heat finally setting in I figured that the fish would be in the drains close to deeper water to escape the near boiling water temps way deep in the marsh. I pulled up to the first drain and put on a ttf killer flats minnow on a 1/8 oz jig head and began hitting all the points within casting range. After about five cast I hooked up on a solid fish that broke me off. After retying I decided to switch over to a vudu shrimp under a popping cork which brought the first fish pictured. After hitting more drains and swapping back and forth between the two lures and losing another fish the second pig came. Go and check out justonemorecastblog.com to learn a little more of how to find fish like this.
