Weedless flukes - 07/08/17 09:37 PM

Recently i've gooten more mature in my fishing hobby, and as we went down to the coast last weekend, the bay had alot of grass because of boat traffic. It seems all summer the grass is bad .You could not even use topwaters, or even regular plastics. The water was super clear though and , we knew the Trout had to be biting. So I tied on a 3 aught worm hook with a DOA jerkshad weightless. It was a great combo, little to no grass, and I almost had my limit. So, do any of you guys use this when grass is bad? Also what other plastics? I'm kinda limited as some baits are too soft and trout rip em up! Thanks

You can rig a sand eel on a Oldham screw lock hook. Much tougher plastic.

If you try to stay between the "lines" of grass will make a difference.

And it's not from boats it happens regardless of traffic.
