Advice for Winter Wade Fishing POC and Seadrift - 01/13/21 07:39 AM

Howdy howdy,

I'm looking for some advice on where to go wade fishing in either Seadrift or Port O'Connor. I'm staying in Port O'Conner for a duck hunting trip on Saturday but I get in on Friday and I am a complete stranger to the area. I have between 2 pm to 6 pm on Friday to fish. I'd like to go to spots with less boat traffic. I will have my kayak so I can paddle out to a spot if need be. Would I be better off fishing from a pier or jetty, or would wading be the better option to try and get on some trout?

I'd appreciate any advice I can get.

THANKS

Take your yak down to Charlies bait camp, it's about halfway between POC and Seadrift, on Lane rd. You can go straight across the intercoastal into Shoalwater bay. The water is XX low right now, the fish are piling up in the center of the back lakes.

Wade the intracoastal down either side of charlies bait camp. Y’all might laugh but there are some really nice fish there. Especially with the colder temps
