My PB Mazeppa Bay June 2019 - 04/30/20 09:17 AM
Good morning fellow anglers,
I have not been active on the forum for a few years due to personal reasons. However, I have since retired and I am doing quite a lot of fishing the past 3 years with a bait drone. Last year June I went to Mazeppa Bay, a prime fishing destination in the South African Eastern Cape region and I was fortunate enough to land a 230 Kg Bronze Whaler shark. The tackle I used was the Okuma Macaira 15ft surf rod with a Okuma SLX30W 2 speed lever drag filled with 1000m 80lb Whiplash braid and 150m topshot of 100lb Saltiga boat braid and 12m of 150lb mono as leader. I dropped the bait approximately 350m from shore using a shark cutlet as bait.
