Sheepshead at the Jetties - 11/28/19 02:33 PM

Man were they stacked last weekend at the Jetties. I put together a video on how I found this school of Sheepshead. I didn't keep any because I was too lazy to clean them smile

Nice vid. I don't blame you for not dealing with the cleaning . Lotta work, but good eating.

Yeah no kidding. I was in New Orleans a few months ago, and saw Sheepshead on the menu for $38 at Emerald Legassi's restaurant..... Huh, really? I better start keepin more.

Seems like there used to be a guy who hung around the jetties and cleaned sheepshead for 50 cents a fish. This was back in the early '80's. Anyone remember this?

Nice video and just subscribed! Your video reminded me how fun it was when I pulled sheephead back in houston years ago. I moved to san diego now and sheephead looks a little different here. But the fishing method and hard fight remain the same:)

Yeah, I want his name. I normally clean my own fish, but had to get back to Austin, so I basically washed the boat off and headed out. Saved me an hr and the work.

Sheepies are underrated for tablefare and fight. I just enjoy catching any fish! Good luck in SD.
