Green Tide Surf Fishing - 08/08/19 10:06 PM

I had a couple trips the last few days. Fishing seems to be better during the daylight than at night. One group was able to catch and release a decent black drum and the next day the customers 9 y/o son caught and released two decent sharks. All fish were caught on cut mullet. We had one run on a boat out rod that hit hard and came towards us but unfortunately missed the hook. Fishing on Bolivar should be getting better and better as fall approaches. Great to see the young ones catching sharks.
You hooked them for life.
Keep up the good work.

Also good to see you have your web site setup. Looking good.

All Ryder wanted for his birthday was to catch his first shark. We made that happen today with a nice 31.5” blacktip. That was one excited kid. Very happy for him!

Not only are you getting your clients on some nice fish, you are making some kids dreams come true.
That is really cool.

Yeah it’s a lot If fun to see the kids catch. It’s even more fun when they’re ate up with the fishing bug and you can see the passion that they possess. It’ll definitely bring you back to your own childhood and the memories that you made with whoever your fishing mentor was. I told that boy yesterday as I was rigging up a 12/0 senator with a plate size ray to boat out, that were either going to catch something that he’ll dream about for years or something big enough to give him nightmares for years. About 30 minutes before they left, the 12/0 went slack and then tight again and it started to run. Anytime I hear a bait clicker go off, it gives me chills. I was like heck yeah, here we go! The shark ended up dropping though. There’s always next time though..
