South Bay Drift Fishing

South Bay Drift Fishing - 07/25/19 07:18 PM

The wife and I went on a fishing trip to South Bay in the Lower Laguna Madre. The first spot we stopped at to drift, we ended up catching a 25" redfish and a couple of undersized trouts. After the action slowed down we moved to the west side and found a few more reds. The reds were right on the edge of the oyster patches. We ended up with four slot reds for the day. Other than the first one, the other three were lower slot reds. All fish were caught on TSL Chicken on Chain. Started the day with a Bass Assassin Jig head but switched to a Trokar Swimbait when the sea grass became to much of a nuisance. I attached a link to a video of our trip. Hope you all enjoy and subscribe. Be safe and God Bless!
