Waterloo salinity rod with a good 2500 reel is my workhorse for throwing plastics.

ML, M, MH rods with Fast or Moderate action, 7 to 8 feet in length will work for most inshore applications. 2500 to 3500 series reel is all size you should need. 15lb to 20lb braid with 20 to 30 pound leader 18 to 24 inches. Reels should be salt water rated if you can pay for it and I like 7 to 1 ratio on reals. Key with salter water is to rinse and clean exterior of rod and reel after each trip and at least every 4 to 6 months a deep clean.

All that being said I really like my Sixgill rods and reels. I have purchased almost everything on buy one get one free sales so I have not spent a ton of money. I am using the Myakka rods both spinning and casting and Banshee spinning and Hyperion Castings reels. I would not say that product is direct sell to Inshore fishing more of Bass focus but they have been working quite well. I also have some older Shimano reels paired with Ugly Sticks.

Good luck in your search.
