Live scope mount

I am purchasing livescope and don’t have spotlock. Where should I mount the transducer? TM or pole mount? Seen pros and cons for both? I fish timber and brush piles mainly.

You will get a lot of different situational opinions on this one. With no spot lock fishing timber if you don’t mind roping to a tree to hold boat just put it on TM shaft, same with calm water on the TM shaft is what I feel is better. (Opinion)

However if you ever do get spot lock the decision gets much harder , in wind with spot lock on it’s own pole or turret is more often preferred.

I personally finally gave up on the battle between tm shaft or turret and have both in boat and switch between depending on conditions.

Check All Aboard Marine for their LS pole mount

You will want spot lock eventually.
I want to control where the livescope is pointed. for me , this means a separate pole mount,

I use the one from " fishing specialties "
good luck

I use a Seelite2 pole mount due to having a spot lock trolling motor. Sometime I want to ease down a bank and scan al ost perpendiculat to the trolling moter heading. Don't claim to be an expert as I'm just getting started and have much to learn.
