Does the Active Target box consume power when resting. I have a LSS box and have it wired to a switch. I was wondering if I need to do the same with the Active Target.

If the lights are on its consuming power, if they are off no power consumption

Pretty much what the Lowrance rep said. It has some wire that’s supposed to turn it on and off, not sure what the consensus was….if it ever worked that way or not, and all. I know as soon as I turn on the main power, the AT transducer is clicking away. roflmao even if the carbons are off.

Every black box type of device I have on my boat is hooked to it's own switch, so I can control when I want them on or off.

You Can connect the Yellow wire on the Box Power Cord to a Toggle Switch and 12v. I have one at my Bow to turn on and off I don't have one on my 3D Box as it is not a problem such low consumption
