Carbon and Live

I recently purchased an HDS Carbon 12 and when I get the funds I will get an HDS Live 12. Until then I want to install the Carbon at the console and move my old Lowrance to the bow. Won't be networking these two as my old unit is really old

When the time comes to move the Carbon to the bow and install the Live at the console, can I use the red power/NEMA 0183 cable from the Carbon to power the Live unit and then use the power cable I get with the Live to power the Carbon? Hoping to avoid re-doing the power cable at the console when I move the Carbon.

I assume the NEMA 2000 setup I will use for the Point 1 puck and the cables for an AI 2-in-one and 2D transducers will work on both the Carbon and Live.

If anyone has any insight or advice on what I'm planning to do I would appreciate your comments.

Same hook ups. Only thing is with the new live the blue sonar port is now 9 pin not 7 pin like your Carbon.
You will need an buy a 7 pIn blue to 9 pin black adapter cable for the 2d.
