Question on updating Garmin 1022

Hello. Does the "black box" processor need to be connected to the Garmin 1022 Livescope setup while I am updating the 1022 via SD card. Thanks for any input

probably, I have to have all my stuff on when I download one from the phone cuz it never tells me what unit it is for or tm or livescope so I fire them all up.

you adding maps? if that is the case then probably no on livescope, maps would have nothing to do with it.

Only if you want to update the Blackbox software. otherwise, no.
