!!NEW!! Lowrance Waypoint Trail Route Manager - 01/29/21 05:25 PM

REEFMASTER: NEW Waypoint, Trails and Routes Manager for Lowrance
Waypoint Manager for Lowrance

Might be some much needed management for Lowrance waypoints, routes & trails. I'll be trying it soon.

=========================
The ReefMaster Waypoint Manager is a brand new, standalone application designed specifically to work with data from Lowrance sonar units.
Today we are announcing an early release of this application, ahead of a full launch over the next few weeks.

The Waypoint Manager does much more than just make managing your waypoints easy, including:

Import export of Lowrance USR file format in versions 3/4/5/6.
Import and export Google Earth, CSV and GPX file formats./li]
Display, edit and manage waypoints with full equivalent Lowrance icon and colour sets.
Display, edit and manage routes and trails.
Easily select groups of waypoints, trails or routes for export, editing or deletion.
Group editing operations on waypoints and trails, including icon and colour, label visibility and more.
Merge or split data files.
Simple to use waypoint duplicate-removal tool: delete waypoints with identical locations, or within a certain distance.
Full multi-channel sonar viewer for Lowrance SLG, SL2 and SL3 sonar log files.
Copy and paste trails and waypoints directly from Google Earth.

The Waypoint Manager is free for existing users of the standalone Sonar Viewer: Simply download using the link below, and activate using your existing Sonar Viewer key. New users can purchase the Waypoint Manager for an introductory price of US$39 (+tax).

Download the Waypoint Manager here!

As this is still an early access release, please do contact us with any feedback that you may have about the application.

Note that, unlike the standalone Sonar Viewer, the new Waypoint Manager does not require hardware graphics support, and should run on any PC running Windows 7 or later.

Please note that the Waypoint Manager is only compatible with Lowrance data files.

Re: Lowrance Waypoint Trail Route Waypoint Manager - 01/29/21 05:30 PM

I brought this thread over from the BBC forum, and . . .

I've done some testing and if your a Lowrance user you should be very interested in this waypoint manager!!!
WOW! WOW! . . . AND WOW!

And Waypoint Manager is only $39+VAT. For now.
Free upgrade if you now own Reefmaster Sonar Viewer program

You can sort by icon, name, latitude, longitude or time.
By time so those new waypoints you created are easily sorted to the top for editing.
By icon so you can group edit
By name so you can group edit

You can edit or group edit:
Change icon and icon color
Change or create new waypoint descriptions
Change waypoint displaying by "icon & name" or "icon-only".
Change waypoint names

The default map on which your waypoints and trails are display is simple. Others are available with internet access. Hopefully this might improve.

Wait for it, wait for it:
You can select a waypoint or select multiple waypoints FROM THE MAP to edit, group edit or delete.
You can delete duplicate waypoints by exact location or within designated distance.
You can delete duplicate waypoints with same name or same date/time.
You can just copy/paste waypoints and tracks STRAIGHT FROM GOOGLE EARTH.

Waypoint Manager is fairly new with some improvement coming. And since its new he's asking for feedback as it is being developed.

I have asked for waypoint sorting by icon & color instead of just icon. And I think it's going to be done.

Oh, and WM can display your Lowrance recorded sonar logs.

I'll look into this. I'm used to the Navionics software, but I haven't upgraded with my new units I installed a while back.
I need to get some new software for managing my waypoints.

Working with Google Earth - 02/01/21 05:57 PM

RWM creates KMZ and works well with Google Earth's historical timeframes.

So by displaying RWM waypoint & trails onto Google Earth low-water images, you can get an idea how two products can improve lake study either for navigation or fishing structure/cover.

And any new waypoints or tracks made in Google Earth can simply be merged back into RWM by a "copy & paste".

This is going to make me learn how to be a little more tech savy.
