Helix 10 vs Carbon 12

Helix 10 vs Carbon 12 - 06/14/20 10:37 PM

Wanted to get people's opinions on the pros and cons of these two units. From what I've read so far the Helix has better/crisper side and down imaging with Mega but the Carbon would give me a bigger screen. Thoughts?

Carbon unit is a touch screen, Helix is not. I run a Carbon 12 at the console and to be honest, I can't tell a difference in image quality between it and the few Helix and Solix I've been around. The older HDS and Helix units there was a bigger difference. The details on the newer Hummingbirds and Lowrance graphs are pretty crazy.

Get the Carbon 12 and also the new Active Imaging transducer for some awesome SideScan.

I run carbon 12’s. My 2 fishing buddies run Helix 9 megas. I’d pick my carbon 12’s everyday. Both images are incredible and day to day and lake to lake they each have their betters. IMO, the user friendliness of the carbons are worth a lesser image. But I don’t think the image is lesser with the 3-1 AI.
