I can’t seem to figure out how to get my boat icon pointed the right way. It never changes, even though my heading direction is correct and turns with my heading. In the picture, my boat icon and the smaller purple line always stay in that direction. Any info on this? 12” gen 3.

Try restoring defaults if you haven't already, has it ever displayed correctly

Did you test for magnetic interference before you mounted the AS GPS HS?

Why are you using Course Up with a Heading Sensor connected?

I didn’t Wayne. I’m new to Humminbird. Should I leave it on heading up? I’m thinking that’s what the problem is. May need to move the gps puck

If you want the top of the Chart View to be the direction the bow is pointed, Head-up does that when the Heading Sensor is installed properly.

No different than installing a Lowrance Point1 or Garmin SteadyCast.

Stuff that will affect the compass (heading sensor):
Ferrous metals
Magnets ( the trolling motor has big magnets in it), another heading sensor..
High current=electro magnet (running the trolling motor or running the outboard).

I’m going to put the gps puck on the back of the boat where the point 1 was before and see if that fixes it. Thanks Wayne
