Nitro NX750 Transducer placement help

I’ve been looking into getting the best pictures I can from my electronics. But, when I bought the boat the transducer was already mounted and was told professionally installed. I didn’t know better as this is my first boat. Now when I drive boat my side and down scan goes black. I can troll or drive slow and get a good picture. From what I’ve found online I’m probably getting some interference or bubbles. I posted a picture below where it’s currently at. I think I need to mount it on the port side (red color) so it’s out of the way of the live well holes. Maybe even move it up on the bottom of the step part is (blue color).
