Humminbird Solix SI and Di died

The SI and DI on my Solix 12 quit working. When I go to the SI or DI screen, it shows the freq down in the corner as 0 freq instead of 800 or mega. Does this indicate that the transducer or the unit is not working. Appreciate the help. Also, when I bought the unit 13 months ago from Bass Pro I also took out the Gear Guard insurance. Has anyone ever used them and how hard is it to get them to cover the broken unit.

This does happen from time to time, Try restoring sonar defaults, if that don't work restore all defaults. Save your settings to an SD( on casse you don't won't to reset the settings individually) card so you won't have to go back set all your settings back. Unfortunately not all settings will save but most will,

WOW, that would thrill me. I will set everything to default and see what happens. If that fixes it, you are my new hero. Don't get too excited, I change heroes often.
How do you restore just the sonar defaults.

You will have several options to restore when you open up the restore defaults menu, sonar is one of the options
