Offshore predictions - 06/18/19 09:36 PM

Wanting to take my boys out on one of the Port A party boats sometime next week. Anyone able to point me to a good link for conditions? Don’t want to take them out if it’s going to be a brutal roller coaster ride.
Thank you

Trusting any forecast more than 3 to 5 days out is not a good idea. But given the current period were have facing us I'd say there is a chance it will be better.

Here's one I use:

Google: marine weather for the middle texas coast. Click the: nationa weather service marine forecast FZUS54...
Unfortunately it looks rough and not fun. Check out one of the headboats that bay fish. If you look into the Island Queen for bay fishing make sure they aren’t fishing the end of the jetties. Sea sickness guaranteed if it’s rough.

Have fun

Here is a web cam for Dolphin Docks in Port A. Watch for their 12 hour boats to come in at around 6pm. This will give a good idea what is being caught. They are doing well of good sized snappers.

They do not have forecasts. You may have to keep an eye on the local forecasts.

Here's one that is reliable. https://www.windfinder.com/forecast/mustang_island_access_rd_no_2

Shows that it get's better late next week but that's a pure guess at this point.
