I want to say that most of the lbs gained over a few days like that is prob water weight. I do that sometimes.A weekend full of food and beer,..the scale goes up on monday and is usually back to normal by friday after getting back into the routine.

my son and his bunch stayed with us. Brought a bunch of junk food with them. I'm a sucker for Little Debbie cream pies.

Snow, or should I say, "being cold," has a big-time slimming effect/affect.
When you are cold, the body's internal thermostat needs to maintain roughly a 98.7 degree temp.
If a person ate too much last week, he/she could have just stayed cold "longer" to burn some of the fat.
If you ate a lot, barely moved, and also dealt with no power, thus lots of cold, I'm not exactly sure.
You CAN slim up when cold, but if you really eat a lot of sugar and junk, the pounds will probably gain momentum over the cold/slimming effect.

We have dogs that have to be walked, so I just bundled up and away we went. I averaged 2.6 miles a day, some of it was shoveling sidewalks.
