Polymyalgia Rhuematica?? - 10/02/18 02:40 PM

Sudden onset of stiffness in shoulders, hips, lower back, thighs. It started for me 5 weeks ago. Waiting on dr diagnosis. Anyone experienced this? Hurts like hell and severely limits my daily activities.

Thanks.

Honestly, i hurt so bad everyday i have just learned to deal with it. Knees are constantly throbbing, sometimes i get a sharp pain in either hip i yell bad words, my thumbs lock up and my elbows are toast. I cant take advil anymore because of the heart issue, extra strength tylenol is all i can take and its worthless. Sigh

Dr finally diagnosed it Polymyalgia Ruehmatica (PMR). Taking Prednisone. 48 hours later and I felt like a new man.

Is this a short time illness or recurring?

It's all been covered already, old age and steroids to mask the pain of not being 25 anymore.

As my ER doctor buddy always says to me when I ask him about another "body" issue...

"Welcome to your 40s," and that was over 10 years ago for each of us.

I just began using CBD.
Since becoming physically active again and putting my joints through some regular workouts I'm experiencing some joint pain associated with osteoarthritis.
I hope to be able to report something positive soon but I just started less than 24 hours ago.

After using the CBD for a week I can say without a doubt that it works better and faster than any over the counter medicine I've ever bought. I vape my CBD so the relief is almost immediate. It is not a cure nor is it necessarily better than prescribed pain medication. The initial cost seems expensive but when buying a liquid it's not so easy to see how long the bottle can last. I bought the 500 milligram strength and it doesn't take many puffs to make a difference. Do the research and read the first hand testimonials from those who are using CBD. BTW, it was only after a recommendation from a doctor that I began looking into it.

I65- it is temporary until I can see a specialist. Been on Prednisone for 2 weeks. Don’t like oat all but it allows me to walk pain free daily.
