Hey fellas! I'm new to inshore fishing and will be headed to San Luis / Chocolate bay areas next weekend. Where and what do I need to be doing to catch some fish!? (Not looking for anyones secret hole) just asking for A decent fishing hole lol. Any help is appreciated!!!

Shrimp and popping cork/flourocarbon leader/#6 treble or 2/0 kahle hook

Watch for active bait

Simple soft plastics on a light jighead are very effective

Fish a moving tide if possible

If you catch a fish on a certain lure or in a specific place, do not abandon it. Never leave fish to find fish

you can access drum bay from the hwy in several places, just trial and error, drive down any trail you see. there's a pier at the sea isle community also. you can wade the surf just about anywhere, but i'd go across the toll bridge and fish the boilers area. just ask at the bait camp for directions. if you wade the pass, be sure and wear a life vest, several people drown there every year. good luck!
