Aransas Pass, Rockport Fishing Pier - 08/24/17 07:37 AM

Hi everyone, i'm new to the forum and haven't dropped a line in 25yrs until today, wife and I are heading to Aransas Pass for 3 months day after labor day and will be across the street from Rockport Bay fishing pier. My question is if anyone has fished here lately and what have you been catching?.
Thanks in advance

I wouldnt expect much action for a while, unless you like picking up trash or finding cool stuff on the shoreline

I don't think most people really understand how much damage a major storm will create. It's going to take a long time to dig out of this one boys, and whatever is there now will not be there Sunday.

It may be a while before the fishing picks up down there. The fresh water flooding is going to push the salt water out of the bays and it's going to take a while for the salinity to return.

Once they get the electricity back on, and make sure the rest of the city services are up to snuff, they should start letting the public back in. Things ought to be good to go in another month. I'd wait until then before making a decision to head to the mts. I never caught anything up there over a foot long

We still plan on heading to Aransas Pass the week after labor day, all the drone videos we have seen shows the rv park and marina we are staying at to be untouched. going to try and contact them tomorrow. clap
