Salt Lake vs Copano Bay

Looking to rent a place to take the family in August in Rockport, Tx. There are 2 places that I am considering. One has a pier/deck on the Salt lake side and the other has pier on the Copano bay side. Any ideas, tips and better chance for fishing?

I also just saw a place that is on the Harbor side near the canal of Hannibal Point. 307 ridge harbor drive. hows the fishing in that harbor?
