Crabs?

Spent the weekend at Corpus Christi and visited Bob Hal;l Pier one night. There were these little critters running and jumping all over the place and we thought they were some type of crabs but were translucent looking. man, could they leap! I was wondering what they might be -- didn't get any pics.

Going to need a better description. ... were they in the water in the lights, or on the pier, or on the beach?

Sounds like the little crabs that run around in the sand on the beach.
