Best conventional St Croix rod for inshore fishing

A little background information: I generally fish in 5-15 feet of water. For flounder, I like to jig dock pilings and bridge pilings which are usually only 10 feet deep. I also like to walk sod banks and cast. I was looking at the St Croix inshore rods but there are so many options I am not sure which rod would best fit both jigging and casting from shore. I never fish off a boat or kayak and I see a lot of these topics are jigging from boat with heavier gear. I am a college student and have been using an ugly stick gx2 for the past year. I want to upgrade and prefer to spend 150-250$ for one rod and just take very good care of my one setup. I will pair this rod with a Daiwa Coastal TWS and throw 1/4 - 1 ounce weights. I also fish about once or twice a week so I won't be beating my setup to death. 
 
The casting rods I narrowed it down to are:  
St Croix Avid inshore 7 ft MF 
St Croix Avid 7ft MF 
St Croix Mojo Inshore 7ft MF (Heard some bad things about this rod snapping from small fish) 
 
I am also open to other rods if they can be used for both jigging and casting. Thanks, guys

my favorite flounder rig is an old 7' all star "shrimptail special" rod that had about 6-7" broken off the end and a new tip glued on. i use a curado sf reel on it. casts very good and has the back bone to drive home the hook.

When I'm targeting flounder, I use a tip stiff rod, flounders are really bad about clamping down on your jig, you think you've got it hooked, they swim up, open their mouth and out your jig goes. Stiffer rod (with really sharp hooks) will move the jig enough to stab the hook home.

It's the opposite rod for what I'm fishing for trout with, so just remember your equipment is just a tool to do a job.

I’ve had a few Mojo Series rods, never had an issue with them. I also have a few Avids and they are definitely a step up from the Mojo rods.

If you want something stiffer for flounder, I think a 7’ MH St. Croix would be great. The MH St. Croix rods are rated up to 1 oz and it’s a good all around versatile size for a casting rod.

I been using an [AVC70MF) Avid, casting, 7', medium power, fast tip rod for many years in the salt water. Its my favorite all around rod at any price, I own. Light enough to cast all day and heavy enough to make fighting big snook and even an accidental tarpon very exciting. Was about to order another one the other day and they were sold out along with many of the other Avid series. Didn't even realize there was an inshore model. Will probably get one of those instead.

I was also wondering what pound test fluorocarbon leader do you guys use for Flounder? I used to go 10lb braid and 20lb leader but found that my hook sets would sometimes snap the line. Thoughts?

20lb power pro and 20lb fluorocarbon or mono leader.

No leader, straight 20# power pro to the jig head.
