Port A - Take 3.. or 4.. - 05/26/20 06:58 PM
So, I have had to cancel so many times, I forget how many times I have tried to go lol.
So, was about to go to Port A last weekend, but the friggin bilge pump died... was dead.. who knows. I was updating the Garmin. I got a low voltage alarm. I was bored, kicked on the bilge to take out some water I had seen there and "blip!"... short.
Tracked it down. It turned out the 17yr old aft bilge pump was shot/seized. Well, after 17 years, I guess it is allowed to do that lol.. but, no larger pumps local so.. cancelled the trip. Was not going to haul it down there without a pump.
So, did research and went on Amazon and got a 2000gph Rule to replace the 1700 Attwood.
It arrived the next day. Replaced the pump as well as the float and all I need to do now is install the 15amp fuse, vs the 10amp that was there.
I have a couple mud dauber wasps that have taken up residence behind the captain side cockpit panel so.. sprayed the living [censored] out of the gunnel, fogged it a couple times, next, going to put a blower up the gunnel to drive them out heh.
Anyway.. heading to Port A on Saturday. Since Snapper season starts Monday.. I broke down and decided to stay till Tuesday evening.. heh. Not to worry, I kept the following Saturday night slip reservation too :P
I do not care if the boat runs or not now.. by God I am going fishing this weekend lol....but.. I think I have it ready, minus the wasp and the fuse :P
