Coastal Boat Ramps

Coastal Boat Ramps - 03/30/20 12:50 AM

Any news on the boat ramps at Rockport, Port Aransas, Sea Drift....etc?

My fishing buddy just called and said we need to cancel since the ramps are closed.

Specifically Aransas Pass and Port A.

Any first hand accounts?

i canceled a floater trip for early April. was told they could only rent to a party of the same household. how they would enforce that is beyond me, but we had 6 from all over the place, so we pulled out. heard Packery Channel was closed as well as the beaches. don't know about the bait houses and launches. we were going out of marker 37.

Bunches of people are going to be out of business.

I need to call bait shops next.

there's a thread on 2cool about this. Supposedly the port authority closed them but the ramp is run by TP&WD so this ramp may be opened back up soon

If you have a boat on a lift you can still access the bay. If you need to launch, then no access unless you can find a private ramp or an open ramp out of Aransas County.

What about the old ramp at Fin & Feather on South side of causeway? Is that private?
