Galveston Flooding. - 09/20/19 02:40 PM
My thoughts and prayers go out to all that are affected from Imelda. It could have been worse.. but for some of our community it can't get any worse. Many, many flooded, and worst of all it that many that got flooded from Harvey... got ReFlooded.
The Cajun Army is out and helping people in those areas and rescuing many that were stranded; thank you to all that are helping even if you are just helping your neighbor. Worst of it was east of Houston in Winnie where over 45" of rain fell, but Houston ... and Galveston Bay Watersheds also got hit hard enough to cause some flooding as well in varied amounts from street flooding to overbank flooding and some loss of structures I'm sure. All this water will flow into the bay this week and that will have it's affect on fishing as well.
Here's a rainfall image total for the week... but it maxes at 25" There was more than that in several areas.
And we can also keep up with Bay Salinity here at Salinity Nowcast
