Some kind of snake mackerel, but no idea offhand which species. do you have any other photos of it?

Yeah, some types of deepwater fish have indigestible waxes or oils in their flesh. These waxes have an amazing purgative effect on the human GI tract.

Have no idea if that particular fish would be a problem.

Wow I was a super excited to catch something besides A-shark if anybody wants this fish I'm in Arlington Texas now and they can havit to use as a prank I red up on it and it said the oils in this are akin to Castor oil and a guy ate some and had shed his pants

No I have saved it frozen... I hate to waste fish I plan to use it as marlin bait trolling in baja california.
