Bluegill Fishing - Earth Worms vs. Catawba Worms - 07/20/17 10:29 PM

I know these might not be the most exciting videos, but I thought some of the old school fisherman might enjoy them. Fishing in a pond that my grandpa dug out over 30 years ago. A lot of the fish died off a few years ago. But, there are still some big catfish in there I just rarely catch them now. I caught about a 6 pounder in May and broke off on a 12-15 pound fish in June so I know they're still in there.. Anyway I did not catch any catfish in these videos, just some good sized panfish. I was using earth worms on the first afternoon.

The next afternoon I went back out and used some Catawba worms(frozen & thawed). Don't know which worm caught more fish because I always lose count but I know the Catawba definitely caught more big fish and just bigger fish on average. Yes, I know it's just a pond but it's cool to see a different worm make that big of a difference.

Haven't seen or fished with Catawba worms in years.
