Thanks for the comment. My wife grew up in California with her dad in a wheelchair due to being shot in the back in a botched robbery.

I'm more of a Louisiana redneck - grew up in Lake Charles.

My wife got a PhD in engineering before we moved back to the country. She helped me in our farm business for most of the next decade.

When the deer and varmints keep robbing your crops and threating your livestock, you learn to get good with a gun.

With my encouragement, my wife used her engineering background to start doing research in ballistics shortly after 9/11/2001.

Today, she's authored more scholarly papers in ballistics than any other woman in the US.

She also had the first perfect score (200-20x) recognized by the NRA for a woman in High Power. And she did it in a national championship.
