I feel your frustration . Lots of mag sandies. I am surprised you are not using a thumper due to your passion for Pelagic fish.

I’m actually planning on ordering a splasher prop this week. I actually have to avoid the guide boats due to not having a splasher or thumper yet. They have 2-3 boats close together running splashers and every fish under them lol. I’ve seen fish leave my graph and the group of guides start catching lol! Im def a believer.

I believe you can build your own thumper, the splasher is commercially driven.

I lost two rods in the first 20 minutes of fishing a couple of years back. Oh well it happens.
