No Standing Stopping Parking Sign There is a creek that runs through there. The same sign is on the other lane. Does this mean "No Fishing" as well? Is there someone I can call to interpret that sign?

Seems as if their concern is vehicle traffic. As long as you're parked somewhere else I wouldn't guess it'd be a problem. If it looked good enough to fish I'd probably try it out. Might be worth asking the people in the surrounding buildings if they ever see anyone fish the area if you're the cautious type.

i would imagine as long as youre not parked or standing on the road you should be fine

Oh, I see. Probably standing around the pond itself is trespassing on business property than. That would make sense because you could stand on the road to fish and that would stop you from doing it.

has nothing to do with fishing or the property, Those are traffic violations! Stopping of course, Standing is a car basically stopped or idling with the engine running, not going anywhere. Parking is self explanatory

I'd just fish it and if anyone says anything, leave. Im not really worried about what people have to say and as long as you have your fishing license and in the rare chance a cop does show up, if youre respectful he will probably just tell you to leave.

Yea, does not pertain to fishing...If fishing is not permitted, the sign is there somewhere.

The sign means you need to sit down if you want to fish.

Just a "keep the road free from obstruction" sign....means nothing else other than that. Tight lines brother

This sign was put here obviously because people at some point were parking and fishing. Have your license park somewhere else and have some fun!

thumb that's the spirit

PS places like that I'll fish on weekends. Be low profile and respectful; you'll seldom get static.

If you do, politely move along. Good luck

@gonzalezlg That is a picture of said little creek that feeds said that pond. I live way on the other side of town to just go there for the lawn chair fishing. Why don't you give a try one day after work and see how it goes. Buy a nice small frog. They seem to get the bites right now.

Two questions:

Is it private water or public water?
Is the land around it private or public?

if it is private property an they would like folks to come on their property they will put up a sign that says come an fish . there are public parks that allow fishing .most privately owned land with ponds don't want there property littered an the liability with uninvited trespassers.
