Echo Lake in Fort Worth

The fishing has really turned on lately in Fort Worth. Heres some pics to enjoy.

Them bass have been feeding good from the bodies found in there!

Caught two nice ones today in the heat of the day 3pm to 4pm. Hot and not very much breeze

Really havent had to worry about thugs and homeless, they pretty much keep to themselves. Sit in their cars and smoke the wacky tobacky or whatever.

Two places I don't fish, como lake and echo lake!!

But if you wanna be on the news go to one of these cause sooner or later you will catch a body part.

I fished Echo today. I walked into the bathroom and found a half full can of 211. Enough said. What's worth talking about is the glory hole on one of the bathroom stalls. WTF? I Did catch a nice sized bass and a white crappie.

i use the same set up man mine is great ive caught some big creek bass with it had a 7 pounder just Saturday she was a good fight i use 12 pound mono in mine.

So this is not a recommended lake for Kayaks?
My wife was just asking about going there next week?

I always lol with this:

"Went fishing at Echo lake and met a nice lady who smelled like fish so I thought she would be helpful at fishing. I asked her if she worked here and she said she does frequently. When I asked her if she caught much here she said "Only with no protection." I thought she probably new the lake good if she could catch something out in the open unprotected water. I hired her to be my guide. She really must have liked my fishing a LOT because she became REAL friendly but she wasn't too good at catching fish. Overall, it was a slow day all I caught was AIDS."

Those guys catch fish all the time with some zebco 22's and they fight like heck on those rods.

There are always people out there in pond hoppers and bass busters so i would say a yak would be fine. Lots of snakes along the bank too.

There is a possession ban on this lake since the late 90's. but the fish are nice looking and fun to catch and release.

in the last set of pics the top pic is after the rain and the rest are from 8am to 11am. Together all three of us caught about 15 fish all day.

Drove through there today around 1:30. Didn't see anybody catch but observed some nice tree logs to target on the west end of the pond tommorow. What's the snake population like? I saw a few snakes trying to get shot under western center bridge today. Don't mess with the power of the co2. Lol

yeah the fishing is good all over the lake u just gotta find em like anywhere else.

awww hell, i use to eat at a restaurant called rosedale #2 in east berry and i always ate catfish, but i havent been back in like 2 years. ohh well what didnt kill me made me stronger

If youre talking about the orange rod its an E21 Carrot Stix. XH action for pulling them in to the bank.

What lures have worked for y'all at echo? Plan on going out tomorrow? What should I bring?

Tabasco... has anyone told you about the bass grabbers tournament tomorrow? Will be a bunch of guys there from 8-12. As for lures I cant give away any of my secrets but there is plenty of stuff that works there.
