Hey everybody! On a whim I decided to drag the kids out to check the lampasas river. We usually fish it in the spring and fall when the water level is up. I wasn't expecting much out there so the kids grabbed there pocket poles and I took an ultralight rod and a small tackle box. We fished the deeper pools by casting to the opposite bank and letting the current pull the bait into the undercuts. We fished from 9am to noon and caught 42 assorted Sunfish and 10 LMB. We did see quite a few monster cats, bass and carp but they were not interested in eating or did not like what we were offering lol.
