River fishing in Coppell?? - 03/30/20 06:41 PM

Has anyone fished the river/creek that runs through Coppell? The area I'm talking about is across the street from McInnish Soccer complex. Basically off of Sandy Lake about a 1/2 mile West of George Bush. I see cars/trucks parked along the side of the river but can't tell what they're doing. This is on the north side of Sandy Lake road. On the south side of rode is a kayak rental place and a small spillway that fluctuates with the river level. When that spillway is down, I see people fishing from the concrete structure that makes up the sides of the spillway.

That’s the elm fork trinity river. Fish of all kinds are in it and the ponds around it. Water comes from gvine and Lewisville

I used to fish there a long time ago. Do the people fishing on the dam go around that fencing?
