The Elm Fork: Its Greatness Continues - 03/11/20 04:49 AM
If there is any river that harbors a soft spot in my heart, it is the Elm Fork. It has been overly generous to me over the years. Today was no exception. One thing about a river, throw a hook in and your catch species varieties the Elm Fork gives me the opportunity at a surprising variety of fish! White bass, yellow bass, spotted bass, largemouth, hybrid Striper, crappie, drum, channel, blue, flathead catfish, bull head, carp, buffalo, all manner of sunfish and warmouth and maybe more! I've caught virtually all of them in there, lol. Today was a spawning white bass hunt. Found some, then in true Elm Fork style, found BIG black bass, yellow bass, and drum. Jig/bobber this time of yr will catch just about any species of fish. They are shallow near bank hugging and aggressive. 16th oz down 18 or so inches below bobber is the ticket! Thank you, generous river!
