Blanco River

Been awhile since I posted anything. Momma broke her foot and has been in a boot for some time. She finally got out so we went to the Blanco River Sunday afternoon and wade fished above the Blanco State Park. 2 LMB on shaky head jigs in blue black with a brush hog. 7 more LMB on drop shot senkos. All were up against the bank under the shade. We also caught one little small mouth on a bone whopper popper late in the afternoon. 5 of the bass were over 16" and we hooked and lost several others. Great time and wading was a great way to beat the heat.

Thanks. We enjoy going there and the opportunity to catch multiple species always makes for a fun trip. We saw a good number of fish but they were pretty picky and we had to work the drop shots right in front of them to get a strike. I think we are going to try another river this weekend.

That river is loaded with Guadalupe Bass! Caught a bunch of em this year!
