I guess 225 people thought YOU were posting a report haha. Myself included
I stopped and fished part of it last week for about two hours. I only caught two small crappie with a jig and slip, and one sandy. The water was still on the muddy side at the time. I didn’t have enough daylight to walk very far.
Anybody know what the water clarity/level looks like now?
I’ve been looking for a report too haha. I guess we just gotta get out and fish. Anybody ever came in from 35W? I see vehicles there from time to time. It looks a little sketchy to get down there but it looks like it can be done. If anybody needs a fishing buddy let me know.
Should be getting busy there soon..... cant wait!!! Love fishing that creek... (when I'm NOT falling in the water) Those steep banks can be crazy slippery!!!
Caught my limit on Monday and Tuesday in about 1 1/2hrs on both days..Using a chrome and blue 3/8oz rattle trap..All sandies were male and females...The water is up....Good luck....

Were you fishing near Old Alton bridge? Or closer to the main lake body?

The Old Alton Bridge is in Denton but on Hickory Creek feeding Lewisville Lake, the Denton Creek feeds Grapevine, so which creek were the fish caught on Mon/Tue ?
Keep us up to date, there is a thread going in the White Bass forum as well about Denton Creek. I went to the bridge off 377 yesterday after work and didn't have any luck. There was a couple there fishing as well and I didn't see them catch anything either. May hit it up after work again, wife permitting of course.
Not exactly DC, but we were out on the main lake yesterday afternoon. Ran into a lot of sandies and a bonus crappie suspending at 20-30' in 35-38fow, off of where twin coves empties into the lake. We brought home 18 for the skillet. Given the depth, location and how thick they were (we didn't move the boat in 2-3 hours, the action was that good), I'd guess that they were staging.
