local bank spot seems to be populated with a lot o Crayfish, I have a trap, what's the best bait for trapping a few?

Anything really..... cleaned fish bits work good too...
Otherwise, beef pancrease works the best cause it lasts so long

I've caught lots of them with bacon for bait.

Any meat, just strap it down or hopefully the trap came with one of those bait bags.

leftover fish guts/heads/etc work fantastic.

Also... if you use a trap.. try and rig the bait so it doesnt sit on the sides of the cage... otherwise theyll never have to go into the trap to eat

Tied bacon on the end of a string, lowered into chimney. Crawdad would grab bacon and not let go. Lift out of hole.

I catch them at night with a dip net and head lamp. Easily catch a dozen in less than an hour. Or if I am really lazy, I go to the Asian market and buy a dozen for about $4.
