Fly Hair Question

What's the most unusual hair you have used to tie with?

I haven’t used a lot of exotic hair. I like deer belly and body hair. That it can be spun and trimmed really allows for some custom touches. I have some Yak hair, but haven’t done much with it. Yak is pretty stiff and coarse. Calf’s tail, I never use it really. I think I got it for a bend back. Some other things like rabbit and fox are more like fur.

Probably Javelina. You don't see very many fly recipes listing that one, but it makes a good mouse whisker...

Human hair, did it just once.

Golden Retriever, but my Border Collie's tail hair takes huge striper. Fake beard hair. Mink.
