Worldwide warning - 05/09/16 05:11 PM

My recent experience was not pleasant with WWM. It's only $7.00 but I live on principals and I pay my premium for the year in one lump sum and have for the past few years with WWM. So I do not get invoices in the mail. Lunch money or price gouging not my game bang

Subject: Outstanding Billing

Bass&More,

I just wanted to follow up on the additional billing for the policy. It was actually due to the change in year of the boat. When we first did the quote, we were told the boat was a 2006. The boat id# says it is a 2005. When the correction was made, it added to the premium.

I just wanted to make sure you received the information. I did email you on 4/29 and phoned and left a message for you on 5/3/16.

You can contact us to make the payment for you over the phone or you can contact Foremost.

Thank you.

Laurie,

Is this a recurring charge ?

Also it seems it would have been a cheaper than more expensive since the boat is older than originally quoted ? New more value ?
I know it is only seven dollars, but this logic of cost increase does not make any sense nor has it happened to me in the past.
Having insurance with Worldwide for the past few years without a claim and or any issues has been nice until now.
Unfortunately I do not agree with this extra charge and am fear of more frivolous charges in continuing to do business beyond this year and furthermore feel obligated to warn and share my recent experience with fellow TFF anglers here in Texas of your practice.
I will pay the seven dollars and consider it a lesson well learned.

Regards,

Bass&More

Jon, All we did was correct the year of the boat. This made a $7.00 change in your rate. I have left you messages on your cell as well as your office letting you know that I will pay the $7.00 All I can say is WOW

Re: Worldwide warning - 05/09/16 09:10 PM

I'll double that wow Bob. Do you have a PayPal account over there at WMU? I'll pay the $7. That's a lot of drama over 7 bucks, especially when there was a clear reason, i.e. the year of the boat.

Jon Nance... Well I was gonna say to at least use your real name but I see you left it in the email copy.

I can't believe you've made this big of a deal out of this

Re: Worldwide warning - 05/10/16 11:46 AM

wow! those fine folks, especially Laurie are awesome in that office!! If you get that butthurt over a $7 mistake that you caused by telling them the wrong year model.... then personally, I wouldnt want you as a customer.
pretty dang sad you gotta bring this drama here over a $7 mishap that could have been handled in less than 3 minutes.

Thank you Worldwide for giving me the utmost customer service, even when I owed an extra $12 for changing boat policies.... I paid it knowing I owed it, without drama, because of something I did smile

Wow. Just WOW! You do realize WMU is your agent, and not the insurer, right? If you want to bitch at someone for rates, why don't you call Foremost? I would think the rate went up because your 2005 model is more likely to have something break than a 2006, thereby resulting in a claim. That's what cost you $7 more. Had you given WMU the correct information on year model, the original quote would have reflected this. You were in the wrong yet you want to publicly trash a damned fine company for your mistake?

WOW!

Re: Worldwide warning - 05/12/16 04:56 PM

Just received renewal notice from Worldwide Marine with a $190.00 increase from last year with no claims, contacted Bill at their office and said they are going through some changes and would review my policy and check around and get back in touch. Are other policy holders with WWM having these same increases as well? This is my 7th year with them with no issues until now. mad

Ken, The carrier we had you with did have a rate increase. We represent numerous companies and have re-marketed your renewal. It is less than last year. I e-mailed it to you and left you a message. Please give me a call when you can. Thanks Bob Luellen 800-339-1235

Re: Worldwide warning - 05/18/16 05:18 PM

Thanks Bob for a quick response; yes new rate is $14.00 cheaper than last year but you failed to mention that I would be losing my diminishing deductible which I had earned over the last 6 years valued at $560.00 in the event of a claim or loss. I called American Modern for an explanation of the recent rate increase which was a waste of time as they could care less and would not even send me a new reduced policy so I could try and keep my diminishing deductible. $560.00 -$14.00 = C-YA !!

Re: Worldwide warning - 05/18/16 08:22 PM

I can not control companies that have rate increases. I have numerous markets and we re market to make sure we are always getting you the best rate as well as coverage's. When I sent you the new quote. I asked you to call me and we would go over the coverage's. I wish you would at least gave me a call to explain the differences. I would of worked with you on the deductible. Thanks Bob

All I can say is I am VERY glad I have my boat insurance with WWM and Bob/Laurie.
Great customer service and always a prompt reply.
Can't speak to a claim, haven't had one....LOL, and hope I don't either.

$7 is pretty darn minimal increase....c'mon man.

God Bless

Bob, I have already called twice and spoke with Bill who is more than qualified; any other policy holders with American Modern having these huge increases of $190,00 without any claims?

Foremost is owned by Farmers, I would have chosen an alternative company just due to that fact. However, $7.00 ? and you stand on principal ?

That's the kind of service I'm looking for. When I buy another boat, I'll get my insurance from you.

Re: Worldwide warning - 05/25/16 09:09 PM

I am up for renewal and will be sending Bob another check shortly. Great guy to do business with, even though I haven't needed to file a claim. I guess some people need to realize the difference between the insurer and the agent. Even then, $7? Really? I lose that in tackle almost every trip to the lake. Then to claim a stance on principle when you gave the wrong info up front? Yeah, WOW.

Last week I was reminded of what is important. My 13 year old was in a car wreck and has a broken back. Don't sweat the small things in life. There are more important things in life to take a stand for. $7.00 is a meal at Mc Donalds

Re: Worldwide warning - 07/06/16 01:40 PM

I can't believe this would get posted. I don't know what you do for a living but I'm in sales and when your quoting something it is important to get all the right and correct information before sending a quote. As a salesman you can only assume that you are given that while working up prices and sending a quote.

You Stated boat was a 2006 and its a 2005. At this point your not comparing Apples and Apples and you also created more work for the agent because you didn't take the time to supply the correct info to her. And then you post this and try to Bash World Wide? YITES!!!

I will Pay the $7 as well…..JESUS!

Re: Worldwide warning - 07/13/16 11:47 PM

Haha.

With all the offers to pay this guys "$7". Will someone pay my $19 a month premium for full coverage on my boat and the $15,000 rider on gear and electronics? If so....pm me and I'll give you my State Farm agents number. banana

Re: Worldwide warning - 08/13/16 04:04 PM

I have been on this forum and a customer of Worldwide for 4 years and have never read a legitimate complaint on them. They handled my new boat policy professionally and their rate was half of what State Farm charged. I could not and would not ask more of an insurance agent.

Re: Worldwide warning - 08/17/16 05:54 PM

Not good protocol to air publicly something that could have been handled privately.
If you got royally screwed by a business and they would not work with you then that is of course a different matter entirely.

Many of my ancestors came from England and I think therefore I'm entitled to some kind of reparation. Would someone please call the queen and have her send me a check.
