July Lake Fork Report - 07/04/13 01:42 PM

Well July has finally made it and the deep structure bite is in FULL Swing!

*****July 4th Special*****

8hr Full Day $350
4hr 1/2 Day $250

If you book a trip (full or 1/2) for the month of July I will enter your name in a drawing for an awesome Tackle Pack valued at over $250! (Lews, Picasso, Bass Boat Saver, Oak Ridge Marina + More!)

It is hot out but the fishing is even HOTTER! #18-34" is best, #graphing is a must, #better hold on tight, they are mean!

We have been snatching our fish out of anywhere from 14'-34'. They tend tobe very timing specific and schooled up in BIG numbers and when we get on em it's been an absolute whackfest. Its not uncommon to make 4-8 cast in a row and catch a fish on every cast.

Graphing is key.. My Lowrance HDS 9 Touches are getting one heck of a work out and makes my job so much easier. Target road beds, humps, ridges, points, drains, foundations, pond dams and bridges. If your looking for a graph lesson Now is the time!

We have been throwing a variety of baits to trigger bites. It often takes 5-10 cast to get the school fired up but then it's game on!

If you mark fish on the glued to the bottom try:
• Picasso Football Head Jig in Green Pumpkin/Amber with a Paca Craw in Alabama Craw
• 3/8 Strike King Shakey Head - Green Pumpkin Trick Work
• Crig with 1oz Picasso Tungsten weigh so you can feel the transitions and light bites. A GP trickworm, Baby Brush Hog, Brush Hog, Centipede or Ring Fry
• 3/4oz 10" Ole Monster in Junebug, GP or Blue Fleck

If you mark fish a few feet off the bottom:
• Picasso School-E-Rig or Bait Ball with Basstrix or Keitech swimbaits
• Talon Big Dandy Flutter Spoon. The 4" has been best bc it is the size if the air he big girls are chewing on. .

Who's ready to go fishing? Carolina rig & footballhead jig bite is hot! Deep structure is where you need to be to load the boat. Using my Lowrance HDS9 is THE most important part of our success

Book your July date before they are all booked so you can learn the ins & outs of all of the above mentioned!
