Guided Trips on Falcon Lake May-August

Fishing doesnt get much better in the summer months on Falcon. The weather is much more predictable and fishing deep points and rock piles can be as exciting as any time of the year down here. The heat really is not an issue.....you will be back to your Air Conditioned hotel room before the heat turns mean which is from 4 til dark. Chris with a looooooong post spawn beauty from friday

Dustin and I battled and fought for our fish this past weekend.....Dustin flat out put one on me, great guy. Here is a good chunk caught in some tough conditions.

Huge Bass trips this week and the fishing is only going to get better.

TFF member's father boated an 11.2 BEAST today......not going to post pics until he does. Just a monster of a fish.


29 fish with the two biggest going 11.2 and an 8 even. We had our heart broken 4 other times, but VERY happy we got the one in that we did. It aint easy getting those berthas to the boat.

Another great day on Falcon. 53 fish with a 9.6 pound kicker....just shy of 38 lbs today.

Went out today for a few hours and my neighbor popped yet another DD. This one was not photographed.....it was hooked deep and I had to work some magic. It was caught in 18 foot of water on a big 10.5 Yum F2 worm T-rigged with a 1/4 oz sinker.

Fishing is silly right now....we have ran into a little bad luck with boating some MONSTER bass the past few days, but that comes with the territory even when fishing deep like I do. I feel sooooooo bad for my clients when it happens, you would think I would be used to it, but it still stings cause I know how special a Falcon trip is to my clients. May is almost in the books.....could not have been much better. Got two more trips this month then its on to June. Another fantastic month to chase after 40 lb stringers. Well June is in the books for me. I have a scheduled break in the action to re-charge the batteries and allow my spine/neck to rest. I have pushed myself a lot harder than my doctors would have ever imagined since the surgery in November. June was very good. We only got two 10's to the scales and they came very early in the month. Did we run into some bad luck boating them? Sure, but that's Falcon. July could be the month where we boat more than we lose, let's hope. We had a handful of 40+ lb sacks and a handful of 25 + lb sacks. Most were in that 30 to 35 lb range catching between 30 to 50 a day on average.

July is filling up nicely, but are there some good dates open? sure. August is also crowded, but I believe I still have one open weekend and several weekdays open. My website is done, but I will not be sticking with it. Not happy with it at all to be honest. I over paid for a product that I could of thrown together to be honest. I have an independent Tech guru working on a new version for me. I am very excited and he loves fishing Falcon, so the partnership should be a good one.

Well I am down to 2 scheduled trips left in July. I have been fortunate enough to have been able teach the art of bass fishing to several people who have never fished before and/or have never spent any time fishing for bass. Sure is cool to show them the thrill of the hunt and in some cases the thrill of the capture for the first time.








August is nearly here, NFL football camps are opening everywhere and the sun is coming up later and later. I absolutly love the Fall and here on Falcon it can be as explosive as any time there is. Just ask the winners of the Basschamps Championship last year. They won with averaging 43 lbs over two days in October of last year.

Enough about the Fall....this thread has a month left in it. Lets go out with a BANG!

I would like to say I caught this fatty on the Huddleston, but a Falcon Fluke in watermelon green orange tricked this one.

The last week of August is still wide open. I found 3 new areas that were loaded it up yesterday. Come on down and catch a few.

Gonna bump this May-August thread one last time.....I am booked the next 7 days, but have the last week of August open. Fishing has been pretty good....you can expect 20-30 fish a day with a 20-30 lb stringer on average of late. Some big fish are still able to be had for sure.
