Im sure bread hasnt been $.05 in the past few years either. Kistler has made a change recently and I wish they would still offer a rod in the under $199.99 range.

Kistler offers those deep discounts several times a year. Sign up for email alerts to be notified of sales. This last one was 50% off of $999 or more. That makes the price very attractive.

I bought 4 new rods on that sale.

They had a Classic series for only $149 last summer. I’m not sure if they are in stock at this time.

I spoke with another rod builder who told me some of those Kistler specialty blanks are quite expensive as far as blank prices go.
