Seems Pro Angler and the White Ugly Stik rods are the most common choice

ProAngler, MeatHunter, Ugly Stick, Rippin' Lips Super Cat.
What type of fishing do you do? What species and size are you targeting?
All, just getting me some new rigs together for Catfish, wanting to get after some big daddys not to keep just for fun, I mainly crappie fish and white bass,
All, just getting me some new rigs together, wanting to try and catch some big daddys just for fun catch and release. i mainly crappie fish and sand bass , got a place on lake fork
For big fish go I use a mh or heavy rod with some bend in the tip. Ripping lips, whisker seeker, and Shakespeare all make good rods. I'm sure there are more out there.

Only rods I have mentioned are the Pro Anglers. Solid Rods!
Berkley ECAT is a badmamajamma if you like 1 piece rods
I'll have to visit the Pro Angler store.

I prefer a Chad Ferguson Signature Series Rod from Whisker Seeker Tackle. For me they have the perfect combination of softness in the tip to get a hookset every time, with still plenty of backbone in the rod to turn those big fish away from the nasty stuff when you need to. They have worked great for me on everything from small channels and blues up to 40+ lb bluecat.

I agree with Jerry about the Whisker Seeker rods. They also look great paired with the Garcia 7000 Catfish series reel.
I love my MH Whisker Seekers. I still have some Ugly Sticks but they are getting phased out. Going all Whisker Seekers. When you get one in your hands I equate it to the feeling a Samurai gets when he pics up his new sword for the first time. Time to slice and dice! Every time I send one long I can't help but feel like those cats are in big trouble!!!

Someday when I am rich and famous I will have me some Whisker Seeker rods.
Pro Angler Tackle medium is a good choice. For $45 its hard to beat.
