Lewisville 9-2

Lewisville 9-2 - 09/03/17 04:40 AM

Fished this morning and absolutely destroyed the box fish. Lost count of em all. Lots of double, triple, quadrupe, hookups. At one point every rod went down and the chaos ensued. Great morning of fishing before the holiday crowd hit. Caught everything on 33 ft flat with Gizzard shad filets.. Went back this evening and got right back on em as the sun was going down. Got dark and my pattern died. Moved to a 15 ft hump in 35 ft of water. Started marking some big fish so I upped my bait size and bang! texas

Nice fishing! How crowded did the lake get? I was wondering if the gas shortage was gonna scare off some boaters this weekend.

Thanks gentleman cheers I got ran off the lake at 11:30 by the Jet Skiis and lake wrecking boats. By the time I trailered my rig there was a line of boats to get into lake park at noon.

I got lucky. Hard work, determination, and talent are key for any successful venture. But sometimes you need that fourth ingredient: dumb luck. Luck can never replace hard work and talent, but often it can win out over both. Having a catfish sniffing cowdog sure don't hurt.

Looks to be a 42 to 55 pounder, but it is hard to tell due to the angles. Not bad for your "Labor" Day!

Ah yes, the guess that weight ratio always has to factor in arm length when photographing. Fortunately I know Gato got short arms. I'm guessing 52# at 48". Just a guess! texas
