I bought a Rapala heavy duty electric fillet knife. They say heavy duty. Although it feels solid, I wouldn't call it heavy duty. Well, my definition of heavy duty is industrial. This ain't industrial.

Don't cut the filet off of the tail. Just flip it over right before the tail and keep going to get the skin off. Much easier.

I received one for Christmas. It's works mostly. You are right not heavy duty. Cheap electric knife from Walmart is better, just will not work a/c and D/c.

I bought a d/c to a/c inverter several years ago. It was about $25, about 6x4x2" and you can clean fish using your trolling motor battery.
