Guided Gizzard Shad Trips!

Guided Gizzard Shad Trips! - 01/10/16 06:08 PM

It took me a little bit to figure out where the good ones were. But I'm on them now. These are anywhere from 6 to 10 and 11 inches long! If you want to fill up your cooler and freezer with fresh bait, now is the time. I will take you down to my spots boat or bank depending on which Creek I decide to go to, I'll show you where how when and even how to throw a net.

Trips usually don't last more than 30 minutes. Some trips all the client wants: is to fill up the cooler and that is it. Those trips last less than 10 minutes.

$75 per trip and bring your buddy to help you with your cooler.

Text me is easiest. Then call me. Or email me.

P.m. box open

Had a client want to go out tonight. I've never gone out there at night so that was a new experience. I knew exactly where they were so we went right to them. They were definitely biting tonight!

Yes to Lewisville.

Had OptimusPrime out today. Showed him where a few baitfish hang out. Took a quick pick and released all but his bucket full. A bucket full lasts three days of fishing for a normal fishing guy. Just come back next week and get what you need for the weekend.

I was doing a little scouting earlier, and I noticed a couple schools swim by me. Problem was they were moving downstream and not up. I went back to my truck and got my thermometer and went back down to the creek. Today the water temperature was 53°. Six days ago if the water temperature was 47°. A lot of the bait has actually moved to the deeper pockets. They have moved out of the shallows. Now is the time that you'll definitely need polarized glasses and waders are beginning to be a must. And soccer cleats. Still no issues getting bait, but we need the temperatures drop so these fish migrate upstream down. A very cold rain with a small 2 foot flood what infest the creek with the big girls. 15 inch gizzards should show up soon.
